No instrument leaves Alpha without the whole company behind it. A rheometer doesn’t reach a customer’s plant floor because one engineer had a good idea. It gets there because an operator built it, a scientist tested it, a sales person explained why it mattered, someone in finance made the numbers work, and someone in support answered the call when it counted. Whether you’re on the shop floor, in the lab, on a sales call, closing the books, or building the team, we’re looking for people who want to push this field forward, together.
Rubber and polymer materials show up everywhere you look: tires, gaskets, medical devices, aerospace components, even the seals inside your refrigerator and your car. When a manufacturer needs to prove a compound will hold up under heat, pressure, and time, they turn to Alpha instruments to measure it.
New ideas in rubber and polymer testing help our customers improve the value of their materials. The people behind those ideas work here.
Brand Pride

Every customer knows Alpha. The quality of our products makes it easy to walk in the door.
Team Culture

You feel everyone is driving toward the same mission.
Growth and Autonomy

There are not a lot of levels, so decision making is quick. I'm able to take initiative.
Leadership Access

In some companies, you cannot talk with a director or manager. We are free to talk to anyone we want.
A Niche That Matters

We make rubber testing machines. Your car probably has a tire tested by our machines.

There aren’t many layers between you and a decision at Alpha. If you want to learn a new function, solve a bigger problem, or take on more responsibility, the door is open and the timeline is short. People move quickly here because they’re trusted to.

Access to leadership is real, not a talking point. Any employee brings a problem straight to a director or manager, no matter their title or tenure. This kind of openness is rare at a company our size, and we intend to keep it up.

We back competitive pay and benefits with real investment in your growth: professional development, internal promotion paths, certification courses, and tuition support. We invest in your growth because we’re building a future with you in it.
We turn rheology science into insight our customers act on immediately, insight that protects the quality and performance of materials used in products around the world.
We build on what came before, raise the bar today, and shape what rheology testing looks like next.

Alpha Technologies began as a team of Monsanto scientists in 1964, solving one specific problem for the rubber industry: proving a material would perform the way it needed to. This work grew into the instruments rubber and polymer manufacturers still rely on today. In 2025, Alpha welcomed Metravib’s DMA testing line into the family. Today, Alpha is part of the AMETEK family of companies, in the Electronic Instruments Group (EIG) and Electromechanical Group (EMG). More than 60 years after we started, rheology testing is still what we do best.
